Do you know about POCO F2 (Yes, it was a thing) ?

This was my first ever thread in POCO Community India in 2021, when I had joined as one of the beta testers, so data you would be reading are of 2 years old, now as the old website for POCO Community India is dead, I wanted to preserve my work on my Tumblr blog like this. Hope that you guys would still find it interesting :)

POCO F2 was really desinged by Xiaomi (as POCO was still Xiaomi's Sub-Brand in 2019)

Recently, everyone on Internet was shocked to see the prototype images of POCO F2 on Internet.So, what the phone had ?

Specs (as per the materials I have with me):-

Redmi K20S was designed to be made available as POCO F2 for Global market, it was under Project Davinci.

It had Snapdragon 855, front shooter was desined at the left corner & had Triple camera at backside (Resolutions of these cameras & all the details relevant to this are unknown), it had FHD+ Amoled Display & fingerprint sensor at the back. The prototype had Black and Green Colour & Glass Back.

It was running on Engineering Rom (AOSP), probably the MIUI build was never built.

Overall, It was a good update over POCO F1 in tems of 2019 standards.

I don't have any information why the project was cancelled from my level

POCO had brought POCO F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro Global version) for Global market, they had the plans of bringing back or creating new "F2" atlest for the Indian markets, but due to Pandemic situation in 2020

F2 never appeared for Indian market/Globally.

In 2021, POCO Launched POCO F3 (Redmi K40 aka. Mi 11X for India) Globally & POCO F3 GT (Redmi K40 Gaming Edition) exclusively for India & brought back the "F" series for Indian market.

In an episode of POCO AMA, Mr. Anuj Sharma (EX Country Director - POCO India) had said that he wants to use Snapdragon 888 in POCO F3 Pro, so we can expect more from POCO in future.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro India launch today at 12 PM: Expected specs, & more

Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India on October 16. Successor to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the phone would bring several new upgrades, including a 64-megapixel sensor-based quad rear camera set-up, MediaTek Helio G90T mobile processor and fast charging support. Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications

The Redmi Note 8 Pro boasts a glass build with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. On the front, the phone has a 6.53-inch dot-shaped notch screen of fullHD+ (2340 x 1080p) resolution. The HDR-ready screen has anti-oil and anti-fingerprint coating for protection against smudges. Powering the phone is MediaTek Helio G90T system-on-chip, which is a midrange mobile processor aimed at gaming-centric smartphones. Though the phone’s Chinese version is powered by Android 9 Pie operating system-based MIUI 10 user interface, there are chances that the Redmi Note 8 Pro Indian version would boot the MIUI 11.

Imaging is covered by a quad camera set-up on the back, featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor of an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view (FoV), a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Bienvenido, en esta guía te explicaremos paso a paso como actualizar manualmente tu teléfono En resumen a la próxima versión de Android o MIUI, comencemos.

Esta guía solo si recomienda para actualizaciones relacionadas con las nuevas versiones de Android (por ejemplo, de 11 a 12) o las nuevas versiones de MIUI (por ejemplo, de 12 a 13), desaconsejamos el Uso de esta guía para cualquier otro tipo . de actualización

1 - Comprobar la versión en uso

Para hacer esto, vaya a Configuración -> Información del sistema -> Versión MIUI.

Compare el código de la versión, como se describe aquí;

Para comprender el tipo de rom, debe ir a configuración / información del sistema y verificar la abreviatura resaltada arriba ...

# China -> Global -> EEE #

• China es la primera ROM producida por Xiaomi, no posee los servicios de Google y tiene una pequeña cantidad de idiomas (inglés, chino y algunos otros idiomas orientales).

La mayoría de las ROM como:

confían en esto porque tiene menos errores.

• Global es una versión remodelada del anterior, cuenta con servicios de Google y es multilingüe.

• El EEA es una versión remodelada del Global, introduce precauciones para cumplir con las leyes de privacidad europeas.

China se divide en dos ramas: la Estable (estable) y la Dev (beta). El Dev se lanza cada semana (semanalmente) y muestra una vista previa de las posibles actualizaciones que luego contendrán el Estable.

El momento de la actualización entre Global y EEE puede diferir unos días.

2 - Descarga la actualización

Descarga la actualización de tu teléfono prestando atención a la versión:

serie M

3 - Copia de seguridad

Haga una copia de seguridad de sus datos (fotos y videos en la PC, Whatsapp usando la función apropiada, etc.)

4 - Cómo actualizar

Para actualizarlo manualmente, consulte Configuración -> Información del sistema -> Versión de MIUI y toque el logo de MIUI 12/13.

Una vez dentro, toca el logo 10 veces y desbloqueará el manual de actualización.

En este punto, seleccione el archivo MIUI.zip que descargó antes. Confirme la instalación cuando lo solicite y espere a que finalice el proceso de instalación.

5 - Efectuar un reset completo

Apague el dispositivo y acceda a la recuperación (encendido + subir VOL)

Seleccione borrar todos los datos , esta operación eliminará el que está archivado en el teléfono, así que recuerde mirar el archivo antes de ejecutarlo y confirmar cuándo son las solicitudes.

6 - Reinicia, tu telefono

Al principio configure en el dispositivo: yes, le recomendamos encarecidamente que NO restaure la copia de seguridad propuesta por Google , hasta que descargue y configure las aplicaciones manualmente desde la tienda (esto aumentó la posibilidad de traer, en la nueva versión, los errores / problemas de la versión o crear otros nuevos).

7 - Disfruta de la actualización
